Paper Play Tuesday | 09/17/13

September 17, 2013

Thanks to Amanda Robinson's Silhouette Workshops over at Creative Passion Classes, I've been inspired to reach back into my paper stash and do a bit of playing as of late.  I'm still a digi girl for sure, but I simply can't deny that a part of me will always love playing with paper.  As a result, you can look forward to seeing more hybrid creations from me, as well as some all-paper creations popping up from time to time.

And so I dub this a "Paper Play Tuesday" and I'm super excited to share this all-paper page with you today.

Best Buds by Amy Kingsford | Cardstock: Recollections; Patterned Paper: American Crafts; Alphas: American Crafts, October Afternoon; Wood Veneer: Studio Calico; Washi Tape: Jenni Bowlin Studio; Twine: American Crafts ; Die Cutting Machine: Silhouette Cameo; Cut Files: Amanda Robinson Studio; Staples: Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz; Paint: Jenni Bowlin Studio by Ranger

I made the foundation for my page by arranging a bunch of squares cut from an American Crafts 6x6 Pad and stitched them down onto my white canvas using my sewing machine and heavy duty thread.  Then I layered some Studio Calico veneers over top of some of the squares.  And finally I taped down my photo with some JBS washi tape and tucked this adorable die cut tag freebie from Amanda Robinson Studio underneath it.  Then I added my journaling strips and finished it off with a few flicks of JBS Weather Vane paint.

The page itself was so much fun to make and came together much quicker than I remember from my paper-scrapping days.   Are you a digi gal who occasionally dabbles in paper?   If so, I'd love for you to link me up to your latest creation in the comments below!
