The Inspiration Station | Challenge No. 9

December 20, 2012

Welcome back for another Inspiration Station Challenge!

Thanks for joining me for a bit of holiday inspiration! This week's inspiration challenge begins with the following holiday display that I came across on Pinterest.  The arrangment lends itself to a beautiful shelf design, the circular wreath offers the perfect place for a photo and even comes with a built in title!

Here is a look at my own inspired page:

I borrowed many details from this creative display to make my own page--including that of
  • The underlying shelf foundation as a base.
  • The use of the letters as my title.
  • And several of the same basic shapes and lines present in the original image.

Noel by Amy Kingsford | Supplies: Anna Aspnes: ArtPlay Palette Christmas Tree, ArtPlay Palette Shabby Christmas, Multi-Media Wreaths No. 1, Sparkle Alpha-Red, Burlap Scraps No. 1, Vellum Sheets No. 1; Ju Kneipp: Far From Here; Sahlin Studio: Autumn Frost Papers.

Creative displays and vignettes are perhaps one of my most favorite places to pull inspiration from.  They offer up design options that are proven and that are often quite simple to translate to the scrapbook page.
