Show & Tell | 10/05/2013
October 05, 2013Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall weekend! Those of you who know me, probably also know that I am sucker for all things fall! So the minute the air turned a bit chilly and Starbucks started serving their Pumpkin Spice Lattes (which was a little earlier this year I believe than last), you better believe that I was buying up every last fall themed kit in sight so that I could start scrapping my very favorite season!
Here are a few pages from this week...do you notice that I've embraced any particular theme?!
My pages from the week of 09/29/13
Feeling reminiscent, I decided to look through my photos of autumns past when I stumbled upon this adorable photo of my son playing in the leaves for the first time. I remember he was so mesmerized by them and he has been ever since. So I paired my photo with some fun fall inspired papers and elements from Ya Yeah Designs and this beautiful foiled paper from Creashens to create a fun arts and crafts feel in this page.

I love fall sunsets. Now I know this isn't exactly a fall page, but a sunset I saw the other evening made think of this photo and thanks to Frida Kahlo and a recent assignment at Get It Scrapped to take away inspiration from her work, I was able to see how I could turn this less than perfect photo of the amazing colors setting over the city's oil refinery into something really beautiful. AND the colors in Vinnie Pearce's Lotus Sunset Collection were absolutely perfect for this page!

And this page features the most recent photo I have of my oldest son enjoying the leaves. It's design was inspired by this page by Hilary Kanwischer and I couldn't wait to use Robyn Meierotto's Fall-ish Mini Kit.
