Your favorite digital enthusiasts are back with a second edition of All-Star Digital Scrapbooking Techniques!

I'm very excited to be joining some of my favorite digital scrapbookers for All Star Digital Scrapbooking Techniques 2. In this collaborative, self-paced workshop, Tiffany Tillman, Jana Morton, Amanda Taylor, Cilenia Curtis, Wendy Zine and myself will be showing you our go-to, digital tricks.
In my module I'll be sharing the steps I use to make my own transparent elements, as well as giving you a glimpse of how I use these elements to bring depth to my own page designs.
You'll also learn several other valuable tips and techniques from my fellow instructors, including:

• How to remove unwanted objects and imperfections from your photos.
• How to transform your photos into painted fine art.
• How to use negative space creatively in your page designs.
• How to build your own grungy backgrounds.
• How to create easy pocket page designs and photo collages in Lightroom.

What's New!?

Here's a look at Vinnie's NEW collections of 2014 and the pages I've created with them.  Each of them were so inspiring and I had a blast working with them!

If you are one of Vinnie's newsletter subscribers then you might recognize this lovely holiday collection, Cinnamon Christmas! But if you didn't have the chance to snag this kit's components for free last month, that's okay because its finally available in her shop! I really loved this collection's soft muted colors and I found it perfect for capturing the true spirit of Christmas in my page "Our Tradition."




The Chinee II Collection exudes a beautiful girlish charm which turned out to be perfect for scrapbooking one of my favorite photos of my niece.  The collage-inspired background I used reminded me of a quilt and coordinated perfectly with the colors in my photo. I only needed to add a few pops of dimension to call my page finished.





And finally for my personal favorite, Journal Link. I am totally in love with the colors, patterns and quirky mix of elements that make up this collection! And the fact that it combines both contemporary trends and vintage charm makes it perfect for almost any page.

Up for a challenge?

There are also some fun challenges included in the latest edition of the Vinnie Pearce Downloads Lookbook  that you can play along with!  I had a ton of fun taking Challenge No. 2 in which I used my son's artwork from school to make my own candy-cane patterned paper for this page about my son's memorable mispronunciation of these festive treats.

Hi there, I'm back again with this week's pages! 

I didn't get a whole lot of scrapbooking done this week as we were busy readying ourselves for back-to-school and working on finishing up a few home projects.  But I still managed to get a couple of pages done!

This week I worked with photos from my Instagram feed that I had been overlooking, including the one of my son looking at his reflection below that I've been wanting to get scrapped for the longest time.  Getting that particular photo onto a page was so rewarding!

Hi everyone...I'm back! 

After re-evaluating my priorities a little over the last week I've decided to make a little shift in my obligations to my CTs, so that I can focus more on my family and myself.  What I hope this means for my blog is that I will be able to put a little more of myself into the inspiration challenges, sketches and articles that I have really missed sharing with all of you here.

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your summer!  This is the time of year I like to spend a little more time making memories than recording them, but I did manage to get a handful of layouts finished up this week.

This year is the first year my oldest son played sports and we have really be enjoying his first t-ball season.  Trying new things is difficult for him, but he tries so hard and seems to have so much fun and I couldn't be more proud of him!  This page records that feeling of overwhelming joy I get watching him play.

Hi everyone! And Happy iNSD Weekend!

Are you all enjoying your weekend?  Getting lots of scrapbooking done? Shopping?  A little bit of both perhaps?

This page was inspired by this great quote that was included in the ArtPlay Palette I was working with, about giving your children both roots and wings.  The sentiment and the colors of the palette made me think of of these photos I took of my son 4.5 years ago when I first started learning about photography.  They are some of my favorites still today.
